MVIS (Motor Vehicle Inspection System) is the LTO’s standardized vehicle inspection used to verify roadworthiness and emissions. For most private vehicles, MVIS is required during registration renewal, especially for vehicles that need inspection instead of emission testing. The inspection must be done at an LTO-accredited MVIS center before your registration can be processed.
